Space... The final frontier. When I Iook up at the sky I can just imagine all the new technology that could someday be flying over my head. Aerospace engineering, I believe is the first step. It’s pressuring as an aerospace engineer. People always looking for a safer, more comfortable, and better looking aerospace machines. I want to be one of these engineers who can help make a controversial change in aerospace history.
Aerospace engineering has been in my mind for many years. Back in 2nd grade I started studying about the F-117 Night Hawk and used it for school projects. As I grew and had a chance to learn more about researching I studied more in depth of fighter planes. And by 5th grade I learned the basics of how the airfoil works.
The past 2 years, after returning to Korea from the states, a couple of my friends and I joined the 1 meter paper airplane competition. We can use anything as long as it is paper-like material. We used light cardboard and created a 1 meter, wingspan, plane! We didn’t think it would work, but I threw the plane and it flew 9 meters! We won 1st place that day. And the following year we had less time to make it, but we still was able to win 2nd place which was still a proud thing especially when both years we were up against aerospace majoring college students. People riding the airplanes are leaving a huge trust on the engineers that the big flying machine will safely take them to their destination. I want to build new aviation that will ensure each and every person 100% safety. Also the newest technology will ensure a more smooth ride, plus more entertainment. For military purposes, I don’t want to hear more and more crashes or problems with fighter planes on the news. I want to hear successful missions due to the new fighter planes engineered. I want to take every step to ensuring a safer, upgraded, hi-tech, quick mission execution fighter jets.
